The Andash deposit was discovered in 1962 during geological survey work on a scale of 1:25,000.
From 1982 to 2006, exploration work was carried out at the deposit, including:
· Underground mine workings (630 linear meters);
· Boreholes (29,600 linear meters);
· Trenches (31,459 m³);
· Sampling (channel, core, sludge) (26,141 linear meters).
Andash is a deposit of republican significance and is one of the largest in Kyrgyzstan.

• In 2007, Wardell Armstrong International (WAI) prepared a bankable feasibility study for the open-pit mining of Ore Body No. 1 at the Andash deposit down to a depth of 2150 m, commissioned by Aurum Mining.
Resource estimation was performed using the geostatistical method.
• Measured and indicated resources of Ore Body No. 1 according to WAI, at a cut-off grade of Au cond. > 1.25 g/t, amounted to 21,120 kg of gold and 77,300 t of copper.
In 2023, Andash Mining Company launched the plant and began mining at the deposit.
