Balykchi Schoolchildren Learn More About Gold Production at Andash

On May 17, 2014, a group of schoolchildren from the city of Balykchi paid a familiarization visit to the Andash mine. The group was formed of the winners of a competition of essays Together with Andash – an event that involved more than 100 Balykchi schoolchildren eight of whom were found winners and invited to travel to Andash to see mine operations with their own eyes.

Company experts told them about the key stages of gold production. The schoolchildren visited the open pit, gold mill, Lake Petrov, tailings management facilities and camp. During their visit, the children were enabled to ask questions about gold production and get replies from Company representatives.
